I am a dedicated Yoga and Meditation teacher registered with

The Yoga Alliance. I have a passion for promoting mental and emotional wellbeing through the practice of yoga and meditation.

I have lived and worked in various parts of the world, gathering a wide range of experiences that now inform my practice.

In my early career, I worked as a Community Development Officer across the city of London, helping to foster positive change on council and housing association estates. After spending several years in Australia, I returned to the UK, earned a law degree, and worked in the Human Rights sector, both in a Law Centre and private practice.

I took some time away from paid work in order to have more time with my children. During this time I completed a Master of Science in Psychology degree, specialising in anxiety. I also volunteered with charities supporting individuals with mental health challenges, which further ignited my passion for mental wellbeing.

I have undergone extensive training in areas such as resilience building, mental health in the workplace, and dementia awareness.

During the 2020 lockdown, I decided to pursue my long-held interest in yoga. I completed my training as a Yoga Nidra practitioner and Yoga teacher with Ally Boothroyd and Tiina Kivinen at The Living School Of Yoga.

As well as learning about the physical postures, I loved delving into ideas within yogic philosophy and how these ideas can be integrated into our everyday lives.

I now combine my knowledge of mental health, psychology, yogic philosophy and yoga practice. My classes are designed to build physical strength, flexibility, and balance as well as providing people with the tools to manage stress and anxiety.

I am deeply committed to helping others take charge of their wellbeing, both mentally and physically. Alongside my own classes, I also work for Umbrella Yoga, which is a non-for-profit organisation that provides yoga sessions for local communities and for people with additional mental and physical needs across Kirklees.
